Combining our 2019 vintage of sloe gin with an apple and anise hyssop syrup, the Sloe “Bramble” is a celebration of Tommy and James’ fond childhood memories spent with their Grandmother. Keswick Apples – Mary Banks’ favourite – have been hand-picked from the family’s own trees, before being juiced and combined with dried anise hyssop from the Black Swan garden to create a beautifully intense, acidic syrup. The sophisticated addition of a fennel distillate brings subtle flavours of liquorice and aniseed, creating a unique depth of flavour without overwhelming the palate.
A crowd-pleasing cocktail that oozes herbaceous complexity, this drink truly encapsulates the Banks’ strong family heritage and inherent connection to Oldstead.
