Christmas Day Celeriac Pithivier Menu (V)
Our Christmas vegetarian menu for two – chestnut and artichoke ravioli, celeriac and malt pithivier main and chocolate and mayweed fondants.

Chicory Root, Onion, Old Winchester
A classic French almond cake with an Oldstead twist; financiers made with the coffee-like flavours of our homegrown chicory root finished with an onion and chicory root puree and a generous grating of Old Winchester cheese.
Chestnut, Jerusalem Artichoke, Sea Herbs
A comforting yuletide starter with a twist; Ravioli flavoured with chestnut and Oldstead Jerusalem artichoke served with a seaweed beurre blanc. Finished with beurre noisette, sea herbs and Jerusalem artichoke powder.
Celeriac & Malt Pithivier
A classic pithivier made with celeriac and malt enclosed in buttery puff pastry. Served with Pommes Anna, braised red cabbage and Oldstead greens, alongside seasonal accompaniments of sloe jelly and bread sauce. Finished with a mushroom and truffle ketchup and rich mushroom jus.
Chocolate & Mayweed
An indulgent melt-in-the-middle fondant flavoured with chocolate and hand-foraged pineapple mayweed. Finished with milk tuile shards and accompanied by a crème fraiche parfait.
