Christmas Day Duck Crown Menu (for 4)
A Christmas day feast for four. A multi-course menu including a whole roast Yorkshire duck crown as the main centrepiece with all the trimmings.

Chicory Root, Onion, Old Winchester
A classic French almond cake with an Oldstead twist; financiers made with the coffee-like flavours of our home-grown chicory root finished with an onion and chicory root puree and a generous grating of Old Winchester cheese.
Salmon, Fennel, Buttermilk
Slices of cured salmon served with pickled fennel and creamy whipped buttermilk.
Roast Duck Crown
A whole roast crown of wild Yorkshire duck served with duck in blankets and duck fat Pommes Anna. Accompanied by seasonal Oldstead greens cooked in herb butter, braised red cabbage, sloe jelly and a festive bread sauce, and finished with a rich veal jus.
Chocolate and Woodruff
An indulgent melt-in-the-middle fondant flavoured with chocolate and Oldstead sweet woodruff, and finished with milk tuile shards. Accompanied by a crème fraiche parfait.
